Childcare centre modifications

 In Our Community

The Port Pirie Child Care Centre recently celebrated the completion of improvements to its service. A special morning tea was held to thank all those who have supported the Centre to achieve the upgrades to the Babies’ Room and baby change/storage facility.

Kate Kassapis, Director, expressed her gratitude on behalf the staff and management committee saying “The professional support and advice from the team at the EHC and TLAP was critical in the design and implementing this important piece of work.”

Kate acknowledged the funding contribution from TLAP and noted that as a not for profit organisation, securing funding for projects such as this is vital for the centre. It is expected that the TLAP funded modifications will help reduce lead exposure pathways and improve hygiene at the Centre. The improvement to the work space for staff is also expected to increase efficiencies.

The children, families and staff will greatly benefit from these upgrades for years to come. The Centre cannot thank TLAP enough for their help and have unending gratitude for this support.
