In Your Health

TLAP values its community partnerships and recognises the significant contributions made by its stakeholders that help TLAP achieve its aims. Community partnerships have always played an important part in reducing children’s blood lead levels in our community, with many partnerships having been in place for decades.

Congratulations to the management and staff of the Port Pirie Child Care Centre Inc. and the Port Pirie West Children’s Centre (formerly known as Ellendale Kindergarten) for their 30 years of continuous operation and their contribution and dedication to early education and supporting Port Pirie families.

Congratulations also to the dedicated team at the Environmental Health Centre who this month will also achieve a significant milestone of the delivery of its family based support services from its current location in Gertrude Street. Happy 21st Birthday to the EHC! Opened on October 10 1997!

The EHC team work tirelessly to provide services to the Port Pirie community to monitor and maintain blood lead levels to be as low as possible. The Port Pirie Lead Implementation Program is now in its 34th year and the results achieved in partnership with the Community have been vitally important to improving community health outcomes for our children.
